Efficient Multi-Sample ProcessingEach Kjeldhal unit can process 3, 6, or 8 samples simultaneously, greatly increasing laboratory throughput for nitrogen and protein analysis. The individually regulated heating positions ensure consistent digestion and distillation for every sample. Laboratories benefit from high accuracy and reduced processing times, making these units ideal for analytical workflows.
Safe and Durable ConstructionManufactured with mild steel and a powder-coated finish, the units boast strong chemical resistance and long-lasting durability. Over temperature protection and anti-corrosive features safeguard both the instrument and users. The design also supports easy maintenance, ensuring minimal downtime in busy lab environments.
Convenient Fume ManagementFume ducts or fume hood-compatible arrangements ensure hazardous vapors are safely removed during operation. This protects laboratory personnel and preserves indoor air quality, which is critical during digestion and distillation processes involving volatile chemicals.
FAQ's of Kjeldhal Distillation and Digestion Units:
Q: How does the Kjeldhal Distillation and Digestion Unit improve laboratory analysis efficiency?
A: By accommodating up to 3, 6, or 8 samples per batch with individually controlled heating mantles, the unit enables simultaneous nitrogen or protein estimations. This multi-sample capacity reduces processing time for laboratory technicians.
Q: What safety features are included in these units for laboratory use?
A: The Kjeldhal units are equipped with over-temperature protection, a chemical resistant powder-coated body, and anti-corrosive design. These features help prevent accidents and prolong the unit's lifespan in rigorous laboratory environments.
Q: When is this unit recommended for nitrogen or protein estimation?
A: The unit should be used whenever accurate Kjeldahl results are needed in analytical laboratories, research centers, or quality control departments. Its precise temperature regulation and sample flexibility suit a wide range of laboratory schedules.
Q: Where are these digestion and distillation units typically used?
A: They are commonly employed in chemical, pharmaceutical, agricultural, food testing, and academic laboratories throughout India for nitrogen/protein analysis following the Kjeldahl method.
Q: What materials and heating elements are used for construction?
A: Each unit is constructed with mild steel and features a powder-coated body for chemical resistance. The heating mantles embed nichrome wire, able to reach and sustain temperatures up to 450C while ensuring accurate control.
Q: How does the fume management system work in these units?
A: The provision for fume ducts or compatibility with fume hoods facilitates the safe removal of fumes generated during digestion, ensuring laboratory safety and compliance with chemical handling standards.
Q: What are the benefits of using individually controlled heating mantles per sample position?
A: Individual energy regulators or ON-OFF switches per heater allow precise temperature control per sample, resulting in accurate test outcomes and efficient digestion/distillation for each flask independently.
